The tradition lives on !
The Regional Cadet Competitions were held last Sunday 17th April in Hartstown Community School in Cloncilla (Great School).
We entered several sections and brought home many trophies and medals.
Congratulations to all of the Cadets who participated in the competitions - You all done very well.
I think we should also note the time and effort of all of our trainers - your efforts paid off.
The following are the results for our competitors;
3rd Place
- Junior Cadet of the Year
- senior Home Nursing
2nd Place
- Senior Cadet of the Year
- Junior Team
1st Place
- Footdrill
- Junior Home Nursing Team
- Senior Boy Individual
- Senior Girl Individual
Because of the up coming Bank Holidays and our Lourdes pilgrimage, the Cadets will take a two week break and then the training goes on.
PARENTS - Please Take Note:
The above competitions were not games !
They were the results of weeks of training - Your kids were tested under strict criteria using realistic make-up, trained patients and simulated injuries, to treat casualties as if in real life situations. BE PROUD of THEM.
Who ever you are looking into this Blog, if one of our Cadets has the confidence in a real life situation to say "I am an Order of Malta First Aider - Can I help"
Let them at it - Despite their size and age, they have been trained. just look at our results.
